Definitions of items in [Interaction information] pages

Overview

Each [Interaction information] page contains detailed information about the two participants of the interaction (i.e., protein and RNA molecules) and related information. Each page can be divided into the following sections:

Interaction summary section

In this section, 'Short label', 'Full name', 'Source database', 'ID', and 'Last update' are displayed as the basic information of the interaction.

Protein- and RNA- information sections

In the 'Protein-' and 'RNA-' information section of each page, 'Short label', 'Full name', 'Gene', and 'Origin' are presented as the basic information for each molecule. In these sections, information about 'Cross references', 'Experimental roles', 'Identification methods', 'Features', 'Binding sites', 'Sequences', and 'Other attributes' in protein and RNA sequences are optionally displayed when those have been assigned.

Biological functions section

In addition, the 'Biological functions' section for each interaction is displayed when such information has been annotated by the curators.

Experiments section

In the 'Experiments' section, experimental method(s) used to detect each interaction are presented when the experimental information is available.

References section

Information concerning reference articles describing corresponding interactions are presented in the 'References' section on each page with hyperlinks to PubMed.
